About Me
Hi, I’m Emily Hirn! I’m currently a Communications and Marketing student at Salisbury University, where I’m developing my skills in communication, content creation, marketing, and design. I enjoy finding creative ways to communicate ideas and connect with different audiences, and I’m especially interested in how organizations use communication and marketing to build relationships with their audiences.
Throughout college, I’ve gained experience both inside and outside of the classroom. Through my work in customer service and sales, I’ve developed strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. I’ve also held several leadership positions with Salisbury University’s Women’s Club Volleyball team, where I’ve helped manage club operations, coordinate travel and events, and create promotional materials. These experiences have helped me become a more confident communicator and leader while giving me opportunities to apply my creativity in real-world situations.
Outside of academics and work, I’m passionate about volleyball, baseball, helping others, and my family. I also enjoy creating content and working on visual projects using tools like Canva. My interests in sports and communication have made me particularly interested in opportunities where I can combine the two, especially in sports marketing, communications, and promotions.
As I continue through my college career, I’m looking forward to gaining more hands-on experience and expanding my skills in the communications and marketing field. My goal is to use my creativity, communication skills, and leadership experience to contribute to an organization while continuing to learn and grow professionally.
